Presentation using iPad?

Q. New to apple, please excuse.
Let's say I have an app that can open powerpoints or slideshow: haiku deck, evernote. (I don't have Keynote).
Is it the same as using a laptop, just connecting the cable to the projector (with the av adaptor) and everything will work as usual?
First time using ipad for presentation, don't want things to go wrong.

Yes I do this all the time you'll need an adapter ( which works for Iphone too) amazon links below. Only difference is that most PPT on your ipad will be displayed like a document which means scroll to next slide not a clean click. Be sure to the right connector for your version of ipad and most likely VGA on the projector side.

Why does the youtube app keep changing quality?

Q. I am very sad that apple got rid of the YouTube app for iOS 6, but what is really making me mad is the one that's available in the App Store. It will randomly just change the quality of the video from full hd to literally nothing, like even below 240p making it unbearable to watch, and it just does this at random times. Is there some way to stop this because it's extremely frustrating and I have to keep reloading the video every time this happens. Thanks for your help.
