I have the dell 2400 mp projector and theres no sound at all! Iv tried hooking my xbox 360 to it and the picture comes up but when i put the audio cable from my new computers speakers nothing comes out. Theres only a yellow port for the yellow cable from the xbox to it and connected my s video cable to the projector too, but nothing is coming out. I dont know if im doing it wrong or what. I Need help!!!! Any pictures of how it should be setup would help alot or videos! Thanx

I hope you didnt buy this projector for gaming. This is a multimedia projector, used for presentations and slide shows, not gaming. For gaming you would need a Home Theater projector. It would have all the available ports for audio and video. Most dont have speakers, but they will have the proper ports for connecting a surround sound system to it. It would also give you much better performance. It is possible to hook the audio up to this, but be prepared for wires running to and from the projector, and having to buy adapters for your audio cables.
You would need to buy an adapter that converts your red/white audio cables to a headphone jack type cable, and 2 female - female composite adapters. You would run your audio cables from your xbox, use the F to F adapters at the ends, then attach the composite to headphone cable to that, plug that into the Audio IN of your projector. Then run the cable that would normally plug into your PC from your computer speakers into the Audio OUT port of your projector.
Like I said, not meant for gaming, but its possible

I have a Optoma Proj H31 connected to my cable box and I have no idea how to get the sound to work. It does not have internal speakers, what kind of connector do I need?

Justus - Do not use the speakers inside the projector unless you are really desperate - they will sound terrible. You need to get at least two normal speakers and a home theater receiver. That will work great.
If you insist on connecting the cable box audio out to the projector, you will need a pair of very long RCA cables:
