I have a laptop that I need to connect into a local network that has a computer on it directly hooked up to a projector. What I need to do is take control of that machine with my laptop so that I may use the projector, I also need to use the files on my laptop for my presentation. How can I do this?
Answer
It will be easier the other way around.
Put your laptop on the network
Make the drive shareable
Then, from the projector laptop, access the file and display it.
To do it the other way around, you will need to use Netmeeting or remote desktop or something similar.

Is there any way to network a projector?
shorty
I want a projector to be networked so I can use any computer in my office to do a presentation with powerpoint.
Answer
Apparently there is, because I've seen the option in Vista. However, I'm not really sure how to do it if you're not using vista.
