nobody

So I'm considering buyin the viewsonic pjd5133 projector it says it's 3D ready . I have a ps3 and I want it to play video games but also to play or watch movies in 3D.. So all I need to watch it in 3D is the glasses ? I'm not sure if im also suppose to get some processor thing also please clarify thanks in advance !

Answer
"The projectorâs embedded emitter function means all thatâs required to unlock 3D capabilities is a pair of DLP Link compatible glasses, such as the optional ViewSonic PGD-250 active shutter glass kit." - (check source below)

So just DLP Link glasses are required.

Mist + multiple projectors = 3D hologram?

In film Now You See Me, they were used to create a 3D hologram. Is it real?

Answer
There is a way to create "floating" video projections like that, but it is NOT a hologram. A hologram is a very specific way to create a an image which can be viewed as 3D. The 3D image in a hologram is not projected like we see in the movies. By splitting a laser beam and illuminating film with one beam and reflecting the other off an object onto the film you essentially take a picture of the interference of the light waves. By viewing this interference pattern (by looking into the "film", not above or beside it) you see an image of the original object which you can look around and view from multiple angles providing that you are always looking into the interference pattern. This creates a very realistic 3D image. That image though, is not projected anywhere. It never leaves the "film".

The "problem" with the mist projection systems is that making the image 3D is harder to pull off. The one system that I'm aware of creates an invisible "screen" of mist that the image is projected onto. The image is floating in the air and you can touch it, but it's still a flat image. Making an actual 3D image with depth is harder.
