So I want to watch movies on a large screen without spending too much.
I already own two 22" monitors, but it's just not quite big enough.
Also, I will be ONLY watching movies on this.

Under 500, won't get you much PJ at that price for sure. I would suggest you look at the Mitsubishi HC1500 or 1600. These are 720p projectors, that offer a great picture, for what they go for. Consider that you get what you pay for when buying any projector. I suggest you check out TigerDirect or Amazon for HT projectors as you may be able to find an Optoma of Infocus model at a good price as well.

Like the title says my buddy just bought an projector off a guy on kijiji for $300 and now im very interested in getting one for myself, the only thing is i've been looking around and i find many but then i cannot find anything about it. If you know where i can buy the best projector i can for this price please help by posting a link.

i would suggest you dont buy a projector if you only plan on spending 300 $ on it, unless you are only going to use it for the wii, ps2 or old xbox. the ps3-360 tv and dvd`s will look bad on cheap projectors.a good projector is going to cost you atleast 600. you want to find anything that is atleast 720p resolution. be careful when searching, alot of people will advertise 720p-1080p, but they actually only display 800x600 or less. and if you want to get a big screen and still have clear brights and darks, make sure it has atleast 1500 lumens.
