What kind of paint should I use for projector wall screen?

Rodolfo Cu

hr Silver Screen ?, white or gray ?? any other suggestion?

Answer
A projection screen is really the best option for a number of reasons, but if you insist on trying to use paint, another option you may consider is a paint by Goo Systems. It is manufactured to have as high a reflective property as possible to give you the best possible picture. Its fairly reasonable and easy to apply.

Do i need a projector screen?

Dalton

Do i need a projector screen since i have dark brown walls.

Answer
There are alternatives to projector screens for a front projector system.
since you have dark walls you would want to have a lighter viewing area which means either hanging a screen or painting a section of the wall for viewing. Your best results will come from a screen. They are designed to reflect the light in such a way that maximizes brightness and viewing angle for the audience. Also you will get the best color accuracy from a screen. The dark frame will help with contrast as well.

If you decide to paint make sure you remove as much of the wall texture from the viewing area as possible. You can find specific paints for projection so do some checking and find the right product. Finally try to frame the viewing area with about 2" of a dark matte color (preferably black).

Hope this helps.
