im looking for a office projector i have no idea what i should go with can someone help me out

Pretty much any of the projectors will work well. You don't need to spend more than $1000 US to get a decent one. The more you spend, the brighter the projector will be. If you can spring for a XGA resolution projector, the picture will look better than a SVGA resolution one.

Ok im getting a projector from costco and i dont know what to get and i mean which one is better not the price as in overall the quality of picture the speakers that type of stuff.

Whats a good cheap XGA projector?

I'm looking for a HD projector either XGA or SVGA? Do you think it's worth it for the XGA? If so whats a good make and modle i'm tring to work with a 500 budget.

See the links for a list of under $1000 XGA (Link 1) and SVGA (Link 2) projectors. You can do your own searches on this site using other criteria as well.

Note that you may finde better prices on discontinued or refurbished models, so I suggest looking at models in the $600 range and then looking for a sale.

There are no sub $500 XGA models listed, althoughone or two sub $500 SVGA.

As to whether the higher resolution is worth it ... it depends on what you plan to do with it.

If you want for business presentations the higher resolution really only matters if you present lots of small type (e.g. spreadsheet data). For movies the extra resolution will allow a larger screen size.

Better picture? XGA projector or 1080p flat panel?

I'm trying to decide between going for a 50' flat panel or using a hand me down Mitsubishi XD450U projector, but I wonder if the xga projector will give me as good of a picture as a 1080p tv. I already know about ambient light and how great it is to have a screen as big as your wall, I'm just asking about picture quailty say through a blu-ray player?

Projectors aren't normally known for their picture quality, I'd get the flat panel.
