best projector for mac ?

Any advice for the best projector for my Macbook?
I need to project videos from my mac onto a big wall or screen so my students will see it from their seats.

What you want is a bright projector, nothing more. Don't get into the "high resolution" etc. They get very expensive.

If you have a "normal room" (which is not darkened with curtains etc, so normal daylight) I would at least get a projector with 4500 ANSI lumen. Search for such a projector, but with low resolution and you can get a fairly cheap (in comparison with other models) projector.

p.s. It doesn't matter you have a macbook. Get the adaptor for your mac to VGA. If you have bought a macbook last year it's most likely mini-displayport to VGA.

projectors almost always have VGA and some have DVI and a few have now HDMI connectors

Most macs have a Mini VGA output connector and all you need is a mini vga to vga adapter costing about £3 on ebay.
however modern macs might just have a mini DVI connector in which case you need a Mini DVI to VGA(to cover all projectors)
or Mini DVI to DVI(if the projector is newer and )has a DVI socket
alternatively if your mac is very new and only has hdmi then that might scupper you for using most older projectors.

I have a macbook, vga to rca adapter, and an eyeclops mini projector and i want to connect them, i know there is a certain order to connect them, but i don't know what that order is so any help is appreciated

1) Connect projector to power
2) Plug VGA Cable into your computer and the other end into the RCA adapter input
3) Plug in RCA adapter power cable into your computer (If it is USB powered)
4) Plug Composite cable into the yellow part of the RCA and then yellow part of the Eyeclops
5) For the sound, use a Composite to 3.5mm cable - Plug the 3.5mm into the computer and the composites into the projector
6) Change Mac display settings to extend / duplicate the screen

Yes, generally. Any Macintosh can use a projector, granted the following:
-The Macintosh has a VGA output port. Then, it works just like a PC.
-The Macintosh has a DVI output port, which in this case, it works just like a PC that has a DVI output port (you just need an adapter cable from DVI to VGA, which is common, unless your projector has a DVI input.)
-The Macintosh has some kind of mini-DVI or mini-VGA output port. This is common on Mac laptops, and usually come with adapter cords of their own.
-If you are using an older Mac with the proprietary connector, again, one needs to find the right adapter cord.
