Can I do PowerPoint presentations and link up to a projector on an iPad?

Kip

Thinking of buying one for business presentations but not sure of the capabilities. Postives and negatives...???

Answer
To connect your iPad with a big sreen to a TV, monitor, projector, or LCD display that uses a VGA connector, you can use an Apple iPad Dock Connector to VGA Adapter:
http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC552ZM/A#overview

If you want to play PowerPoint presentations on iPad, it is recommended to convert your presentations to MP4 using a converter like Leawo PowerPoint to Video Pro (http://www.leawo.com/powerpoint-video-converter/ ) so that all originals like animations, transitions, video clips, sounds and fonts will be well preserved.

Q. Can u connect an ipad to a projector like a macbook using the same conection as a macbook ?

Answer
it comes with the same little display port that you need to buy an adaptor for, like a macbook. if the projector has vga input, you'll have to get a vga adaptor. if it has hdmi input, you'll need the hdmi adaptor, etc.

How to make a smartboard with ipad, LCD projector and apple tv?

Q. I have an Ipad, nad LCD projector that has HDMI connection and I have a normal Tablet in my classroom. now is It really poosbile to make a smartboard with those 3 things?

pls someone that know the answer answer me. if not , how do i make a smartboard ?

Answer
You can connect your projector to your iPad with the Apple Digital AV Adapter ($39 through Apple Store). This will show your iPad content like slides, movies, photos on the projector. Smartboards generally do more than this though, they allow you to interact with the image, and usually save that interaction in some way. No way to do this without a projector with the proper sensors or without some kind of Microsoft Kinect-like device to give feedback of what you're doing. If you want something easy and reliable, best to stick to an actual smartboard.

Is there a way to use a projector with an iPad? I need to show a sales team how to use an iPad and would like to be able to connect it to a projector so that they can see it on an enlarged screen.

Answer
Yes. You'll need Apple's dock to HDMI adapter, but it can be done as long as that projector has a DVI or HDMI port on it.

USB? Who the hell would hook a device up to a projector with USB?

Projector for my iPad?

Sophie

I want to buy a projector so i can project the netflix on my ipad like a movie theatre. What kind of projector should i get that would work with the iPad and would I need any special attachments?

Answer
You can use any projector with an iPad.
All you need is the video out adapter for iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch that you can get from the apple store or eBay. This should make it capable to hook up to anything with a Video input and if you are really going fancy I believe they even have DVI or HDMI connections now as well.

Below are a few of the different connections that you can get for the iPad.

HDMI: http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC953ZM/A?fnode=MTc0MjU4NjE&mco=MTcyMTgxNTk
VGA: http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC552ZM/B?fnode=MTc0MjU4NjE&mco=MTc5MzExNTI
Component: http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC917ZM/A?fnode=MTc0MjU4NjE&mco=MTc5MzExODU

These are all available on eBay as well fo way cheaper prices.
