HID kit or Projector Headlights?

Cesar More

I just want the simplest answer. Which one should I go with? With the HID kit I would get the clear headlights. This is for a 93 chevy pick up. I've had both of them before and it has pros and cons on each one. But in your guys opinion, which would look better on my truck, and illuminate better. THANKS!

Answer
Don't they make projector headlights with clear lenses?? Look around.

The best way to get your money's worth (after all - it is a "93) is to use the system that also uses 12V. That's the projector system.

The other one requires some serious voltage conversion, and that means more money.

Will an HID kit work on my Projector Headlights?

I have a 2000 Civic with projector headlights ( angel eye, euro light, etc.) the original head light used an H4 type bulb, but the new headlights use an H1 bulb, I wanted to know if I were to buy an HID conversion kit for an H1 type bulb would it fit on my projector head lights?

Answer
With your projector's it should say whether you can or not have them in there. If you don't have the original box and instructions it came with, then call the place you got them from, I have some and mine have the ability to have them, whereas some of the ones I was looking at can't have them put in.

Projector headlights question?

MARKYMARK

i have a 2002 BMW and i am planning to change the standard headlights to those with the lenses in them, or so called projector lights, what would be the difference? any advantages? and i am sticking to standard bulbs no HID kits or anything. so my question is again in short terms is Standard VS projector lights?. what are the pros and cons? thanks in advanced

Answer
The projectors do a better job of focusing the light and giving a clean cut beam. It should make your lights reach a little further and reduce blinding effects for other drivers as the beams cut off is much more crisp. The projectors are usually designed to work best with HID's if your moving to projectors, HID's is something you may want to consider in the future, there are online kits much cheaper than dealers.

Does anyone know where i can find projector headlights for a 1999 Cadillac Deville?

Dorian Mil

I want to switch my old assembly and be able to put hids on it. But it says i have to have projector headlights

Answer
I don't know where you live but I am in Northern Cali and there is a power sport broker who has kits to change your car over for hids. Most places have stores like Contagious Motor Sport and that is who you would see here. Check around your neck of the woods for a Motor Sport specialty store and they will hook you up.

Where is the best place to get an HID conversion kit installed for my 1999 Ford Mustang?

I have a 1999 Ford Mustang and I already have projector headlights installed. However, my left headlight went out and I assume it is the bulb (stock). So I want to upgrade to HID since I've always wanted them and now is a good excuse to upgrade...Thanks!

Answer
Yes, It is a good opportunity to upgrade your lighting system. Honestly, try looking for a decent HID kit, the ones with slim & digital ballasts are the best. Buying a cheap one can cause damages to your car's electric system. It can also burn within a month, a good a decent kit usually go for about 120-150$ paying less then that is in my opinion a bit risky and more then that is a waste of money.

Last one I bought was from http://www.asxhid.com/ 2 years ago and it is still working like new.

For the instalation, depending on the quality you bought, you probably have a plug and play kit so it is quite easy to install. Save money and do it yourself.

Hope that helped.

What kind of HID kit should i get on my truck?

Hello,
I am wanting to get HIDs during the weekend. Now i have blue neon underkit and my truck color is black. Also, later on i am wanting to put projector headlights. With that in mind, which "k" would yall put on the foglights? I was thinking 10k to go with the neons, but i dont know if it would look good with projector headlights.

Thanks Yahooers!

Answer
10k should be good for the blue neon but 5K is the best for making the most light. go with the 10k if you like them, you can always get a bluer shade of headlight to match the fog lights.
