I want to get a projector for my laptop so I can watch movies and play video games?

Vladd

what would be the best $100 projector for this purpose?
I don't own a tv I just do everything on my computer

so if I want to watch tv and play videos games with it, what one should I get?
It doesn't need to be perfect picture but good enough to still enjoy videos games and movies.
just looking to get a nice big screen on the wall.

Answer
There is no such thing as a " best $100 projector ". Anything in your price range will be complete & utter crap. Unless you have at least $1250.00 to spend, buying a projector as opposed to a TV is absolutely not worth it.

What else besides a Projector do I need to play video games in HDTV?

I'm buying a PT-AE900U Projector for use with my current playstation 2 and for the wii and PS3 in the future. I also have logitech 5.1 speakers. Besides the project what else do i need? I'll also buy a screen but do I need a receiver?

Answer
You got every think you need!

but, DON'T GET THE PS3!!!!!!! ( It's a great disapointment) the graphics a gitery, lame, and the price is too high. $600 for the console and $70 for a game!!!!!!

The Sharper Image Entertainment Projector Review?

Geffy

I am considering buying this product but I am wondering about its quality because of its cheap price. I would like nice audio, and am a stickler when it comes to quality (it has to be good) like the clearness of the screen, color, and having it not be blurry to motion. What are your opinions on this product? Do you have any other suggestions for projectors that aren't too big, or pricey, but are a good bang for your buck?

The product is found at this website: http://www.sharperimage.com/Electronics/The+Sharper+Image+Entertainment+Projector+for+Movies+and+Video+Games.axd
If you have it or know somebody who does please tell me what you think about it

Answer
haha, we found it on the same day. I've been looking all day for reviews and I can't find a whole lot. It looks good, but I just don't know about the 40" screen size. I want at least a 5' screen and I don't want it to look blocky. The other alternatives are the torpedo projector (up to 72" screen size), the zoombox, the wonderwall (also made by sharper image) and eyeclops. I will keep looking for reviews and will post links if I can. Good luck

EDIT: Just found a little info at my source. From what they say, it just has come out!! NOV09 is what they say! Maybe it will help

I want a projector that you can still see if there is light in the room. aka doesnt have to be super dark in order to see the screen. does this mean more lumens or less not sure any help would be great.

Answer
Here's a true bargain projector overall which can easily be hooked up to cable, satellite, game machines, and is very bright. Check it out at amazon.com - or

It comes with a built-in speaker. Read the 15 Customer Reviews.

And here's an actual 96" diagonal movie image [A Good woman].
